You are better than this complete and utter ballwashing of Jason McCabe.  You are a faculty member at NYU, for Chrissakes!  It is up to you to mold the minds of the next generation of East Coast Liberal Elite Media, not float obfuscated press releases for a disingenuous spam directory. 

I have some new thoughts coming on Mahalo and this article but, for now, I leave everyone with these “Huge IM’s of the Day” in response to your article:

“He [Adam Penenberg] seems to have taken time from saving Chinese dissidents, railing against Corporate America, pimping his novel to “the movies” and adding to the IQ of millions of bored secretaries across the country through his contributions to The Slate Magazine to write a puff piece on technology he doesn’t seem to understand, a financing environment he has no concept of, and a promoter [Jason Calacanis] who succeeded in selling himself to the guy who is supposed to be the gatekeeper for all of said secretaries looking to find out what the next big thing will be in the Tech Industry.”Adam L. “Come on now, this f*cking guy uses a third party quote to refer to his work as ‘exposes’, yet he lets Calacanis use 80% of his article for an infomercial with a lack of technical fact-checking on the efficacy of Mahalo that would make Jayson Blair shudder.”
