SMG Car Update
The cars. That’s why I’m up at 4am beating the crap out of the Internet.

Haven’t done an update in a while to the SMG Racing section. Mostly because there’s been nothing in the way of racing and the Porsche GT3 isn’t supposed to arrive until mid-February.
Speaking of the GT3, I sold my order to a friend and put that money into a new Internet investment. He’s local so I’ll get to see (and beat on) it next month.
That said, no way I sit on the Evo VIII and the Viper and call it a day. I have serious Car Attention Deficit Disorder and I need some rigs.
The Evo is the current daily driver. I love it. It’s the most juvenile looking car on the road and my German Shepherd loves the backseat. Not to mention it’s modded enough to dole out a thrashing to just about everything it runs into and it handles like a go kart. All for under $50GR. Hard to beat the value. That said, the juvenile side of it is really starting to wear on me. Every high school jackass wants to start crap with it or talk about it. So, I think a supercharged M3 might replace that. Pro skater, Bucky Lasek, has his over at my friends’, Vivid Racing, right now and if it turns out like we think it will, that’s what I’ll be driving around town now. I had an M3 before and it was perfect except that it was slow as hell. The supercharger should help fix that.
Next we have the Viper…the enforcer. Not too much in the neighorhood gets over on the Evo, but when it does, we go to the garage and get it’s big brother, the Viper. With 550hp or so, it really hands out the beatdowns. Still, there are faster cars around, so in order defend my ‘hood, the Viper must be upgraded. Not sure to what yet, though. The new 2008 Viper looks like a great platform and I still think the Porsche 911 Turbo would be, too. Like I said, Car A.D.D.

In theory, the new GT3 should be competitive at the track and pretty liveable around town. I get to pick out options next month and we’re looking at delivery sometime between Christmas and Valentine’s Day.
