Congratulations to Michael Gray for winning the Ted Leonsis SEO Contest.  Per the original rules/restrictions, I will cut that $500 check to St. Judes in Michael’s and/or Ted’s name (up to Michael).

It was a good run at the end for Apogee’s Squidoo-hosted page.  The last Google refresh really favored that domain (something a lot of us probably saw many other places we use Squidoo parasitically).  Interestingly enough, my site was fighting reputation filters the entire time.  It clearly had a lot of links as the hub, but this domain hadn’t had much link activity for the 9 months prior to the contest, so it wandered around Page 2 (completely organically, I might add).
