So, you may recall from the old blog that I picked up a Viper GTS to run in Viper Days and some other time trials. 

Well, business has been pretty good and the Viper really isn’t as competitive as it used to be (the new Corvette Z06 gives it a beat down for less money….argh), so I’m going to replace it with the new Porsche 911 (997) GT3.  One of my friends here in Texas was selling me hard on buying his 360 Modena, but this GT3 will give that thing a thrashing it won’t soon forget for the same money.  Plus, I didn’t want to own a Ferrari out of warranty.

In theory, the new GT3 should be competitive at the track and pretty liveable around town.  I get to pick out options next month and we’re looking at delivery sometime between Christmas and Valentine’s Day. 

In the meantime, if anyone wants the Viper or the EVO VIII, let me know!
